Can you read 100 pages in one hour?
Reading 100 pages in one hour is possible. This requires two variables to be fulfilled: the book should be paperback to have fewer words per page, and the reader should be faster than the average reader.
Not only is 100 pages a very ambitious goal, but the topic of the book might also play a role when it comes to speed reading. A new somewhat scientific topic might need a lot more time for you to process the information and remember it.
Instead of trying to beat your page reading record, try to read with thought. There is no point in reading educational non-fiction books if you forget everything you read.
I have tried speed reading myself, but it becomes really difficult to remember the information you just read. I could imagine it would be possible if you give it enough time to practice.

Can you read 100 pages in 2 hours?
Reading 100 pages in two hours is a completely possible and achievable goal. Considering it takes around 1 to 3 hours for an average person to read 100 pages, depending on the book, 2 hours is a realistic goal.
Two hours is a much more realistic goal than one hour. By reading at your own pace without watching the clock, you can make sure you get as much value out of the book as possible.
Instead of trying to speed read and missing half of the points of the books, giving it enough time can make a big difference.
Final thoughts
In conclusion, it is possible to read 100 pages within one hour, if the book is a paperback and you are an experienced reader.
Reading is one of those skills, that you can develop just by doing it. Of course, there are also different reading techniques that can help you to increase your wpm (words per minute), but those can also mean you remember less information.
Practice makes perfect also applies to reading. Do not expect to read 400 words in one minute, if you just bought your first book. Give it time, and you will get better at it, while also gaining really valuable knowledge.
